A practical mindset: where supports go, why they fail, and how to get cleaner surfaces.
1) Put supports where damage is acceptable
Hide contacts under cloaks, inside legs, under armor plates, or on flat “non-hero” surfaces. Avoid faces, chest emblems, and sharp edges.
2) Avoid “islands” early
Most failures are caused by unsupported islands (little floating sections). Your first job is island control; beauty comes second.
3) Don’t over-support detail
Too many supports can “pepper” surfaces. Favor fewer, stronger supports placed intelligently over a carpet of tiny tips on visible areas.
